How to Floss

Take about 45–50 cm of floss and wind most of it around one middle finger, the remainder around the opposite middle finger to use a fresh section as you move along; hold the floss taut between thumbs and forefingers and gently slide it between teeth using a zig‑zag motion to avoid snapping into the gums.

Wrap the floss into a C shape against one tooth and run it up and down from the gumline to the chewing surface, then repeat on the adjacent tooth before moving to a clean section of floss.

Be sure to reach behind the back teeth and under bridges or fixed prosthetics where plaque commonly accumulates, and stop if you feel sharp pain — slight gum bleeding can occur initially but should reduce with regular, gentle flossing.

Aim to floss once daily and on every tooth!
